I decided to splurge and get the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette to see if its worth the £41 from BeautyBay. After seeing this palette everywhere on Instagram I had to go ahead and treat myself to my first high-end palette. I've been using this it for about a month now and I can honestly say I'm obsessed it has been my go to palette every day. I wasn't so sure I could swap my go to dark smokey eyes for a red toned cranberry look, but I did and I loved it.

So the packaging first comes in a cardboard box to protect the palette, but once you open it up it has an amazing light pink felt with rose gold branding on. The felt is a fun idea, but it is a little tricky to keep clean as everything sticks to it so you might want to keep it in the box even though it is too pretty to cover up. The palette also comes with a double ended brush, similar to the brushes that come with urban decay palettes, one side for blending and the other end I use to pack the shimmer shades on. The mirror is also great too it doesn't warp your face like a fun house mirror does! This is a great go to palette if you're in a rush or travelling because it's all in one. *If you can live without a black shadow*

In this palette are 14 shades of highly pigmented shadows which include a few shimmers, everyday neutrals and some pop of colour which include berry reds/taupe's and a few orange tones which are beautiful. You can create several different eye looks just by this one palette however a downside is that there is no black to intensify a look if you prefer to do so, but I can look pass that just because of the gorgeous reds that make up for it! The palette is so versatile with the natural everyday shadow to the smokey cranberry red glam for a night out.

The eyeshadows are so easy to blend that is usually something I struggle with. This would be a great palette to start with if you have the money to spare *r.i.p bank account* the shadows are amazingly pigmented! A lot goes a long way meaning you won't need to keep dipping your brush in for more product. There is a little fallout with these shadows because they are on the powdery side. When I apply them to the brush so I would recommend tapping of the excess product before applying to the lid to avoid it messing up under the eyes.
Swatches:
The Mattes:
The matte shadows are buildable and so easy to blend its unreal but do have a little fall out.

From left to right:
⭐︎ Realgar
⭐︎ Warm Taupe
⭐︎ Venetian Red
⭐︎ Red Ochre
⭐︎ Burnt Orange
⭐︎ Raw Sienna
⭐︎ Cyprus Umber
⭐︎ Love Letter
⭐︎ Buon Fresco

The Shimmers:
The shimmer shades are amazing and super pigmented. They don't budge at all once applied.

The Shimmer Shades:

So a side from it being so aesthetically pleasing to look at it also has amazing pigmentation, super easy to blend and has a great colour range that all compliment each other to do a variety of looks that could be a day or evening. I would 100% recommend and it is now become one of my holy grail products. Defiantly worth the splurge!
